The name comes last is a NGO of creatives and craftspeople from Kosovo and other countries. The focus of our work is the empowerment of fellow human beings who have fallen into an emergency situation under poverty, discrimination, or the blows of fate. We use our potential to develop solutions to their problems together with those affected. It is important to us that these solutions are not developed abroad, but emerge from our society and people are empowered so that something can change sustainably.

Playground Cleaning

The suburban neighborhood of Fushë Kosovë, inhabited by disadvantaged minorities, suffers from massive waste pollution and no childcare facilities for its many children. There is also no public park in the neighborhood or they are mostly reserved for Albanian children.

Community Help

Building a temporary shelter in Strubulove Drenas where we heard that there was a family of eight living in a homemade plastic tent due to eviction.

2019 : Albania

Earthquake

The earthquake in Albania left many people homeless. We went to the areas effected by the earthquake to help, and ended up building temporary shelters for for people who’s homes had collapsed or were in danger of collapsing. As a small organization, Name Comes Last is very flexible and can provide help where governmental offers are still on the administrative way.
